Customizing SlideValue
Changing Color Scheme in PowerPoint
Do you want to use SlideValue with your own color scheme? It’s effortless, just customize it with this easy to follow guide.
Remember: It is a good practice to change the color scheme before you start working on your presentation. It allows you to be sure that your color scheme will be correctly inherited by all the objects you are about to add to the presentation.
PowerPoint 2007 and newer
- Create new PowerPoint document using SlideValue theme (you can see how to install the theme in the Using SlideValue section).
- Click the View tab and in Master Views click on Slide Master.
- In the Slide Master tab and in Colors and on Customize Colors…
- New windows will open where you can customize and name the color scheme.
- When done editing, just click Save and select your newly created scheme in the Colors section (if not already selected).
- Now, you can close the Slide Master view by clicking on the Close Master View button and save your presentation.
It is common issue with some PowerPoint versions that some objects won’t change according to a new color scheme. Simply try to save the presentation, shut down PowerPoint and open the presentation again. If this doesn’t help, please let us know.
Remember: when you will paste objects from other presentations — with different color schemes — then these objects will be automatically changed to the new color scheme. So, should you change the SlideValue master slide to your colors, you still can paste the content from original SlideValue files with no trouble whatsoever.
